Macron Speaks Up
Is it too late that President Macron is only sharing some strong words now? Hopefully not. But at least he is saying what every leader of the Western world should say.
There is no place in the Western world for a culture that wants to treat women less than men; for a culture that wants to use religion as an excuse for terrorism.
That is not to say that all Muslims are bad. Macron made that clear. But when extremists use the religion of Islam to try to destroy the Western world and take over, we must fight against that. There is never an excuse for terrorism or anarchy.
Leaders cannot be afraid to speak out against violent extremism, whichever religion it stems from. They must be able to call out the threats to the Western world. They cannot be afraid to defend their people. There are many leaders who are afraid to call out the violent Muslim extremism that their countries face, and it is at the expense of their own people.
Macron now is hopefully choosing to fight strongly against Muslim extremists.
