The leadership of the British Jewry today delivered a letter to the Parliamentary Labour Party calling for an end to the antisemitism within the party. They called upon Jews and non-Jews to join them in protesting and calling out to Jeremy Corbyn to end the antisemitism in the party.
“Day in day out we the Jewish community of Britain are facing increasing antisemitism emanating from Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour party,” the Board of Deputies wrote in it’s call to protest. Protestors are now saying “Enough is enough”.
Enough is enough “we have warned and warned and warned that when you have a far left ideology that has overtaken the party, it is only a matter of time before you get traditional antisemitism that you see in the far left. And that is now what has happened (in the Labor party)” says Board of Deputies of British Jews President Jonathan Arkush in the video below.
This tweet says it all:
Labour is an ‘anti-racist party’? Except when it comes to the Jews, where you are only more than happy to fan the flames of hatred.
This stmt is just pitiful. Total denial. ‘Pockets’ of Antisemitism? More like a cancer spread throughout @UKLabour. And the mural? #EnoughIsEnough.

This is what took place today in the streets of London:
Members of the Jewish community, Labour MPs (including @LouiseEllman @ChukaUmunna and @wesstreeting) and anti-racist allies are amassing in Parliament Square to say #EnoughIsEnough pic.twitter.com/QgkidLgowq

Watch a taste of the protest here:
Watch the full protest video here:
A sign of the success of the protest is the politicians who came out to support the “Enough is Enough” message.
.@jeremycorbyn tolerating anti-semitism is exactly what you HAVE been doing for many years. We will have a debate soon in Parliament and it’s your opportunity to explain why. Let’s see if you have the decency to turn up and speak #EnoughIsEnough https://t.co/QgBzQ6mBvt

For the Jewish community to write an open letter about anti-Semitism in @UKLabour is deeply shaming. In my 40 years in the Labour movement I have never known anti-Semitism be an issue for a Labour Party leader until now #EnoughisEnough

Solidarity with colleagues from @jewishlabour and others gathering in Westminster to say #EnoughIsEnough. We must call out anti-Semitism in the Labour Party, but what matters is #deedsnotwords. Need tougher action including expelling members guilty of hatred.

Pro-Corbyn demonstrators have turned up at in Parliament Square to demonstrate against the Anti-Semitism protest, thereby proving the anti-semitism protesters’ point. #EnoughIsEnough

As a Lab MP, I used to attend meetings of the Parliamentary Labour Party. But I’ve never felt that the fight against antisemitism should be left to Jews alone. So tomorrow I’ll proudly stand shoulder to shoulder with my good friends in the Jewish Community to say #EnoughIsEnough https://t.co/PnsXoImdA1

These messages receive honorable mention for the important messages they convey:
Big crowd here at Parliament Square for #EnoughisEnough rally.

Jeremy has allowed himself to become the poster boy of anti-Semites everywhere. He needs to act now to disassociate himself from these people and stamp out this anti-Semitism once and for all #EnoughIsEnough
