A few days ago newly elected Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez made a despicable tweet comparing the migrant caravan in Mexico to Jews who escaped the Nazis in the Hollocaust. It was a repulsive comparison. Ami Horowitz journeyed to Mexico to find out the true situation about the caravan of migrants on its way to the United States’ border and what he found was shocking. It is a disgrace for someone to compare this to the Jews who escaped the murdering Nazis.

Genocide

The Holocaust was a genocide! A genocide! The Nazis tried to exterminate the whole Jewish people but ONLY succeeded in murdering 6 million of us! There can be NO comparison between the Nazi Holocaust and a caravan of migrants organized by international organizations aimed at destroying the sovereignty of the United States of America. None!

Senator Lindsey Graham’s Epic Response

Cortez further disgraced herself in her response to Senator Graham. She parroted a tweet of the Holocaust Museum itself saying that “the point of such a treasured museum is to bring its lessons to present day.” Both Cortez and the Holocaust Museum are totally off. The Nazi Holocaust was a strategic genocidal plan to decimate the Jewish people. That still has no connection whatsoever to the organized caravan of migrants looking to illegally enter the USA for a better life.

Cortez tried to show how horrible the Trump administration is by added in her tweet that “this administration has jailed children and violated human rights. Perhaps we should stop pretending that authoritarianism + violence is a historical event instead of a growing force.”

Yet again, I don’t care how horrible you think the Trump administration is. It is nowhere near the evil of the genocidal Nazi regime that massacred 6 million Jews in a systematic fashion. For the Holocaust Museum and Cortez to even allude to this comparison is disgraceful and a diluting of the lessons of the Holocaust.
