CNN Thought Trump Was Crazy For Saying This in 2016 – Now They’re Shocked He Was Right

The common sense that President Trump has displayed throughout his business and political career is one of his strongest characteristics. President Trump is clearly not a person who reads up on every issue throughly before commenting on the matter. But, he consistently seems to get it right on so many issues with plain common sense. This is often a trait seen among many successful business people.

That is why he is often willing to go out on a limb and not be politically correct as he cares less about sounding right. He is just connected to reality in a world that is more and more disconnected from it. He has far less experience trying to satsify others and far more experience staying connected to reality and making decisions based on that and nothing else.

The religion of Islam, of course, has many shades and forms, and spans many countries acorss many continents. What is most dangerous is, of course, the militant side of Islam – often coined as radical Islam. Even if they are a minority, they are truly dangerous and possess deadly weapons.

But one of the main accomplishments of the first term of President Trump was separating out the more moderate Arabs from the less moderate via the Abraham Accords. And now President Trump is trying to do Step 2. That would mean convincing countries such as Saudi Arabia to join in on deciding to focus on economic growth and safety from the threats of militant Islam and less on some of the more dangerous norms of radical Islam.

This may prove an insurmountable task. But if he does pull it off, then he will have been the first President to truly lead a push to moderate hundreds of millions of people in the Middle East via an economic approach. This is a truly American idea as Ronald Reagan also used the levers of American economic prowess to bring down the Soviet Union. This is a different kind of battle than the Cold War, but it is indeed a civilizational battle as Marco Rubio has coined it.

In order to win, radical Islam must become powerless to threaten the free world. Unfortunately, much of Western Europe is going in the wrong direction. Oddly enough, the center of radical Islam may move to Western Europe in the coming decades. But, if leaders emerge in England and France that will energize the young people to switch back to normal value systems, then Europe still has a chance.

The consequences of Donald Trump’s policies vis-a-vis Islam are greater than many people realize.
