The knockout question that Ben Shapiro asks that really sums so much of the Arab-Israeli conflict is, “Where would most of the Arabs in the State of Israel rather live? Under the State of Israel or under Arab rule in Judea and Samaria?” It is a question that will not often be answered as it could cost an Arab their life if they say it loud and clear to the whole world.
The State of Israel has a state-of-the-art medical system with top tier doctors that have come from all over the world and Israel. Nearly all Arab families in Israel know this and prefer to have their major medical treatments in Israeli hospitals.
Additionally, modernity has spread into the communities of Arabs across the State of Israel. Despite much fervent radical Islamic tendencies, their are opposing trends that are going on under the radar. These trends need to be strengthened. Just as the Readers Digest helped get Western ideas across the Iron Curtain and weakened the hold of Communism in these countries, the short life span of people with radial Islamic ideologies is not very attractive to young Arabs who are drawn to other values.
Although publicly the argument is used that Arabs want to have their own homeland, this is a rather weak argument that does not attract as many young Arabs as many think. Those Arabs who demonstrate or engage in acts of terrorism are rarely focused on land. They are focused on hatred of the Jewish people. But there are indeed hundreds of thousands of Arabs who would be more than happy to be a minority in the State of Israel and not move elsewhere. They are free to leave Israel but choose to stay.
That’s because they know what others are scared to admit. They have it good.
