Cancel Culture Takes Over Star Wars

by Gavriel Dan

The growing Woke culture that has infected the United States and much of the Western world has taken over Star Wars.

Gina Carano, the star of Disney’s Mandalorian has been fired by Disney for some of her statements.

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future,” said Lucasfilm in a statement. “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Ben Shapiro picks apart the decision and shows that Lucasfilm and Disney are just plain biased to the conservative right. Shapiro clearly shows that nothing in her posts were even remotely biased or bigoted. The only offense appears to be that they were not leftwing in ideology.

Shapiro spoke about the issue on his podcast, “The Ben Shapiro Show,” on Thursday as an example of the growing cancel culture that is infecting leading institutions in the U.S.

The tweet in question said the following:

Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children.

“Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”

He said that Carano’s firing “is indicative of where we are in the culture, and it is a terrible moment for American culture.”

“Social movements have consequences, and we are now in the middle of a mass social movement to expel half of the American population from the body politic,” Shapiro added.
