Bahrain Foreign Minister
The Bahrain foreign minister is Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalif. In this interview, he said something spectacular about Israel and the Jewish people. He said, “Israel is a country in the Middle East. Israel is part of this heritage of this whole region, historically. So, the Jewish people have a place among us.” Acknowledging that the Jewish people belong and are part of history is huge. The foreign minister wants to normalize relations with Israel. Maybe peace is possible if more people like Khalid speak out.
Israel DOES Belong
It is so important what Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalif actually said. Israel belongs. The Jewish people belong. Israel does not deserve to be wiped off the face of the map. They deserve to exist and be a country in the Middle East. Anyone who denies that is just antisemitic and wrong. Anyone who cannot recognize Israel as a sovereign state does not want peace. Peace cannot even be discussed without recognizing that indisputable point. The problem is that the Palestinian Arab leadership does not accept that Israel has the right to exist. They do not accept that Israel is a country in the Middle East.
Can that be changed?
