WhatsappSecretary of State Antony Blinken arrived yesterday in Israel to pressure Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire and by nightfall Hamas decided to start sending suicide bombers into Tel Aviv.
For those of us who remember the 1990s and the suicide bombings of the second Intifada in the early 2000s, last night’s failed attempt at blowing up the crowds in Tel Aviv must have unleashed serious PTSD. If there was a 1% chance of a ceasefire before the attempted attack – no sane Israeli would agree to one now.
While thankfully no one got hurt (except for the terrorist who was blown to pieces) the 50 pound backpack of explosives could have killed tens and injured hundreds if the suicide bomber had not blown up prematurely.
Blinken and Biden may want a deal, but Hamas’ return to suicide bombers turns all of the Arab population in Gaza and Judea and Samaria (and even some Israeli Arabs) into potential accomplices. Nothing but full war against all of the Jihadist colonizers can stop future suicide attacks. Capitulation will only bring destruction to all of the Jews here.
I remember the early 2000’s clearly. When getting on buses, none of us knew if it would be our last time or not. After all, suicide bombers were truly lurking anywhere. I personally was in and around the double bombing in Kikar Tzion on December 1st, 2001. One guy I knew ended up with nails in his forearm. My friends and I who were nearby saw a teenager carrying a body part. The PTSD from that one experience lasted months.
Blinken and Biden would be advised to stop trying to force Israel into a deal that would return Israel to those days and instead support Israel to move towards a total war strategy, which means the elimination of Hamas, including the population that supports them. True, that means the overwhelming majority of so-called “palestinians,” but that is the price for waging war against the Jewish people.
Blinken represents the archetypal court assimilated Jew - the political maneuverer more worried about his prospects of success amongst the nations than safeguarding the Jewish people. Jews like Blinken never make it in the long run. They become used and tossed away by their overlords. Only the Nation of Israel in its ancestral homeland is timeless and will achieve victory at the end of the day. The only question is how does Israel get there with the least pain and trauma possible.
