What a beautiful scene: The prime minister of Israel speaking of peace with Arab nations, on Hanukkah, at the Western Wall.

Western Wall Hanukkah Lighting

Every year on Hanukkah, a big Menorah is lit at the Western Wall. It is part of the tradition to publicize the miracle of the holiday. This year is particularly special with all the recent peace deals made between Israel and Arab countries.

The times we are living in are truly historic. It was always a dream to have peace in the Middle East. But it seems that the dream is coming into fruition. Peace is now something tangible.

Judaism is a religion that values appreciation and giving thanks. Bibi used the opportunity to thank those involved in helping bring about peace with Morocco. Of course, G-d is the ultimate One to thank because without Him, nothing could happen. But we also must acknowledge His messengers and publicly thank them as well.

President Trump used his presidency to bring about peace between Israel and multiple Arab countries.

Celebrating peace is a beautiful way to celebrate Hanukkah. It shows that peace is something the Jewish people yearn for. Israel is a peaceful nation who celebrates life and love. And the world should know!
