WhatsappEven though this Israeli politician responded well to the anti-Israel question, what they really need to learn to do is to answer the way Donald Trump deals with the media outlets that are filled with lies and half-truths. One needs to go on the offensive. One needs to say it straight – call out the fake media for what they are. Don’t walk out on them. Tell them to their face that they are fake and that they lie for a living.
Any media outlet that uses terms like “nazis” or “genocide” in reference to the State of Israel should be labeled for what they are – a lying outlet, a media outlet that is fake. ”Fake News” is a masterstroke of a term that Donald Trump properly uses to label CNN and other outlets that did not realize that they had actually met their match in Donald Trump.
That is what Israeli politicians must do. The fearlessness with which media outlets lie and spew anti-Israel hatred must be fought with black and white terms. Fake media does not deserve the time of day of any serious politician. CNN’s reputation has been completely tarnished by Donald Trump and so must occur to all outlets that ask ridiculous questions like this journalist.
The media world wields enormous power, but they are not all-powerful. The masses can fight back and so must the leaders. No need for smugness – just a clear awareness that lies must be outted, not just defended against.
