WhatsappThere has been talk on the news about rising tensions between the US and Iran. There is the Iran Nuclear deal, the Iranian sanctions, and many other issues.
Iranian Sanctions
The United States and Iran did have a good relationship at one point. But obviously, things are different now. There is a regime running Iran that wants to build a nuclear weapon and destroy the Western world. That is obvious. But Theresa May, amongst others, still want to keep the Nuclear Deal in place. Trump, on the other hand, wants to continue with Iranian sanctions. He does not want to allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon. He is willing to stand alone if he has to, but he is not rejoining the Nuclear Deal with Iran. Trump has sent messages to Iran showing he is not afraid.
No one wants war. But Trump is trying to do what he can to eventually introduce order to the region.
What Will the Future Bring?
No one knows. Everyone has their opinions. Everyone is trying to do what they think is best. But at the end of the day, no one knows how the Iranians will respond. Will there be a change in leadership? Will the Iranian people get so fed up with their leaders and overthrow them? Can the US bring Iran back to the negotiating table?
Only time will tell.
