Something amazing happened in Hebron. A city holy to both Jews and Arabs and usually a very intense place to live, one Rabbi is breaking down the tensions through dancing and music.

While Jews and Arabs interacting in Hebron is not unordinary, most of he times it is filled a tremendous tension due to the mistrust that has built up through the years. Although it woud seem nearly impossible to put smiles on many peoples faces it can be done.

One Jewish man, a Rabbi belonging to the Chassidic movement known as Breslov decided to cange the situation.

How?

Through music, dancing, and the spread of joy. Rebbe Nachman, the father of Breslov Chassidut tought that joy is analagous to redemption, while depression is analagous to exile. What the above clip shows is the most practial way to bring out the Redemption for each of us – through music.

The important message in the clp is that true joy is possible even in a city that has suffered tremendously. This joy can have the ower to even bring peace in the most unlikey places.
