The Jewish people are a unique people. Despite the exiles, tragedies, and persecutions, the nation of Israel has held on to G-d and faith.
The Jewish People Never Stopped Singing
We should be done. We should be extinct. At least we should be a broken people. And yet, none of that is true. We have not only survived all of our difficult times, we have thrived. We have grown. The Jewish nation has always rebuilt even when it seemed impossible. So this video of Jews singing at the Western Wall on the 9th of the month of Av, a day when we commemorate the destruction of both of our Temples, it means something. It means something very powerful. It means that despite all the suffering, the Jewish people still sing.
We still hope. We still pray. G-d’s people have not given in to despair. Even after 2,000 years, we are still standing strong and singing proudly. Other great nations disappeared from history. The great Roman empire? Gone. The Assyrians? Gone. The mighty Greeks? Gone. And the Jewish people? Proud, strong, and back in our eternal homeland.
If someone can’t see G-d in this, he must be blind. There is no way to explain the existence of the Jewish people aside from the fact that this is what G-d wants. G-d has protected us and kept us alive for thousands of years. And for that, we will keep praising Him. We will keep praying to Him. And we will keep awaiting the final redemption, may it be speedily in our days!
