With a potential Iranian strike possibly coming in the next few days, it has been leaked that the Prime Minister may in fact order a preemptive strike if “intelligence showed Iran was about to attack.”
Since last week’s double eliminations of both Fuad Shukr and Ismail Haniyeh, the Middle East has been on edge awaiting a serious retaliation by Iran. Unlike Iran’s pre-telegraphed attack in April, this attack will most probably involve multiple fronts and days of missile barrages.
Israel already said it will have to retaliate harshly to any attack.
Bibi’s Chess Game
While Prime Minister Netanyahu has from the beginning kept his strategy in dealing with Iran to himself, what has become clear is that over the last few weeks, Netanyahu has tried to lure Iran out of its comfort zone and into open combat. The reason for this, is that Israel cannot win the current war of attrition it is fighting against Hezbollah. The Ayatollahs have the ability to continuously pump Hezbollah with as many weapons as necessary and can spend as much time pushing Israel’s civilian population further and further back from the Northern border.
By eliminating the two terror leaders last week, Israel has now forced Iran into playing a far bolder move it was not ready to play. Starting a direct war with Iran may seem “suicidal”, but more than likely, the reason for it is to force Iran out of the shadows so we can finally take them down before they hit us.
Will it work?
In 1967 the Israeli army preemptively attacked its enemies and miraculously defeated all of them in six days. This time, there are more enemies than ever and Israel may not have the bandwidth to handle all of them. With an America that is fractured and weak, Israel has only one option left - to strike hard and know, like many times before, when the Almighty above showered miracles upon the Jewish people, now will be no different.
