Amb. Huckabee is a moral individual. He is a man of religion. And this is not something to be taken for granted. Not every ambassador has a moral head on his shoulders. And sadly, not even every US ambassador to Israel has been as pro-Israel as Mike Huckabee. Ambassador Huckabee truly cares about the Jewish people and Israel. He understands right from wrong. And this moment where he takes off the hostage pin is emotional and special.
Israel has been able to count on this ambassador to defend them and stand up for them in interviews and to the world. Huckabee sees the truth and knows what Israel is up against. And he goes above and beyond. Mike Huckabee values Israel from a strategic point of view—which is great—but he also values it Biblically. He knows that G-d promised the land of Israel to the people of Israel. And he also knows the truth about Judea and Samaria, which is unique. He knows it’s not the “West Bank” the way the world likes to call it.
