WhatsappHundreds of Israelis have blocked the entrance to the UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem demanding that Israel ban its activities in all of Israel.
UNRWA members actively took part in the October 7th pogrom and make up the bulk of the staff in Gaza. Even more widespread is the known fact that UNRWA textbooks teach their students that they have a right to chase out Israel from its Land and “retake palestine.” Some students in many Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem learn that a violent uprising is necessary at their local UNRWA schools.
While UNRWA’s stature has been greatly diminished and they have ceased to function in Gaza, their impact in Jerusalem and areas surrounding the state of Israel has a huge influence on the Arab street.
Despite UNRWA’s financial collapse in recent months and its clear partnership with Hamas, Saudi Arabia has agreed to supply it with funds in order to keep it going. The Saudis want to take more of a stake in “palestinian” culture and block the Muslim Brotherhood from continuing to influence the Arabs of Judea and Samaria.
According to Reuters: “A Saudi-funded humanitarian agency pledged on Wednesday to boost the kingdom’s funding to the U.N. Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) by $40 million.” This will give the Saudis the foothold and leverage they crave in the holy land.
Today’s protest shows the growing push by a wide swath of Israeli that UNRWA must go – from all of Israel.

The protesters are 100% correct to say “Hamas is UNRWA and UNRWA is Hamas.” Please send an email to: UNInfo@Newyork.mfa.gov.il and ask them to strongly urge the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to “absorb” UNRWA because UNRWA serves no useful purpose. עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל חַי
