US Might Have “Frozen” Aid To UNRWA-Hamas, But Biden’s Loophole Keeps The Funds Flowing

The big news over the last few days is the growing list of countries led by the US which have said they are freezing funding to UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees), but the numbers insist another story.

While many on the right applauded Biden’s decision to freeze funding to UNRWA after it became apparent that UNRWA workers took part in the October 7th massacre, the left attacked the Biden administration for undermining the international organization. They insist that UNRWA is necessary for offering Gazans and Arabs in Judea and Samaria as well as Lebanon and Jordan humanitarian assistance. What is clear now to many in the West, is that Israel’s claims that UNRWA is nothing but a front for Hamas and other Jihadist Nazis appears to be factually correct.

Although Biden’s team has surprisingly taken Israel’s side on this issue, like anything else there appears to be two faces to the regime in Washington D.C. From the beginning of the war Biden and his administration offered its support against Hamas with all sorts of weapons and yet at the same time it constantly fights against Israel’s every move in the Gaza Strip - forcing Israel to fight house to house at great risk to the IDF.

The same is true with UNRWA. Biden’s claim that they are pulling funding is but a ruse in an attempt to win over support from pro-Israel Democrats in a heated election year. The fact is Biden has paid $121 million to UNRWA since October - leaving only $300 or $400 thousand dollars left in the budget from this fiscal year allotted to UNRWA – not much of a freeze.

“We don’t know how much overall funding will be available for this fiscal year, and that would impact how much that we would be able to provide UNRWA,” Miller said. “Historically, we have typically provided somewhere between $300 and $400 million a year in funding.”

Miller went onto praise UNRWA’s work despite the fact it employs 1000s of Jihadist Nazis.

“We very much support the work that UNRWA does, we think it’s critical,” Miller said. “There is no other humanitarian player in Gaza who can provide food, medicine at the scale that UNRWA does.

“We want to see that work continued, which is why it is so important that the United Nations take this matter seriously, that they investigate it, that there is accountability for anyone who is found to engage in wrongdoing, and that they take whatever other measures are appropriate to ensure that this sort of thing cannot happen again,” he said.

All of this proves that the Western world is engaging in double speak. At every turn they pay lip service to Israel’s cause while funding its enemies that seek destroy it.
