There is nothing moral about demanding that Israel protect the people who seek our destruction. Yet that is precisely what some Jews are now calling for; ignoring reality, ignoring the nature of our enemies, and ultimately ignoring true morality itself.
Take, for example, the recent piece published by Hen Mazzig in the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) titled, “My Jewish Family Was Forced Out of Our Homeland. We Must Not Let Gazans Suffer the Same Fate.”
The argument? Because Jews were expelled from Arab lands, we should now ensure that the Arabs of Gaza, the very people who were involved in and celebrated the mass rape and slaughter of Jews on October 7th, are not “forced” from their homes.
This position is not just dangerously misguided—it is morally bankrupt and fundamentally detached from reality.
Ignoring Reality
The Jews of Arab lands were peaceful minorities who contributed to the societies they lived in. They did not build terror networks. They did not train their children to kill Muslims. They did not launch pogroms against their neighbors.
Nevertheless, they were attacked and then violently expelled, forced to leave behind their homes, businesses, and heritage.
The Arabs of Gaza? They are not victims of Israeli aggression. They are victims of their own jihadist culture.
- They overwhelmingly support Hamas, both in elections and in their actions.
- They celebrated the October 7th massacre, dancing in the streets as Jewish women were raped and Jewish babies were burned alive. Even as we have a “ceasefire” they continuously call for more Oct. 7ths – “again and again.”
- They have raised children in death-cult camps and schools to be human shields, suicide bombers, and murderers.
This is not a group of peaceful civilians being ethnically cleansed. This is an enemy population that has waged a genocidal war against Israel for decades.
It is absolute moral blindness to equate then with innocent and persecuted Jewish refugees.
Ignoring Our Enemies
What happens when you ignore the reality of your enemies? You empower them.
The Arabs of Gaza, Judea, and Samaria are part of a war against Israel.
- The Palestinian Authority, supposedly more “moderate” than Hamas, pledged $97 million to reward the terrorists of October 7th, in addition to the millions of dollars in yearly payments to their terrorists in Israeli jails as a reward for murdering Jews.
- The “innocent civilians” in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria have spent decades being indoctrinated by a death cult that glorifies murdering Jews.
To what end are we supposed to pretend these people are poor and oppressed rather than the frontline of a terrorist war?
Would America have demanded that Nazi supporters in Germany be protected from suffering after World War II? Of course not. Because when an entire population actively participates in a war of genocide, they forfeit their claims to sympathy.
The Jews of Arab lands were victims of unjust persecution. The Gazans are the aggressors in a war they started.
Hen’s Position Is Immoral Both to Gazans and to Israelis
- It is immoral to allow a terrorist society to remain intact, guaranteeing future war and more Jewish bloodshed.
- It is immoral to force Israelis to live next to an enemy population that will never stop trying to kill them.
- It is immoral to suggest that Jews—who have been the victims of persecution and genocide—should now fight to protect the people who want to wipe them off the map.
And what about the Gazans themselves?
For years, they were given an opportunity to build a future. Instead, they built terror tunnels. They chose Hamas. They dedicated their society to the murder of Jews.
However, what is truly immoral?
The Western world and Egypt are forcing Gazans to remain in Gaza as human shields of Hamas, with no ability to escape for a better life, as asylum seekers from other war zones around the world are allowed.
Now, finally, the era of rewarding their choices is over.
The most moral thing we can do—for Israelis and Gazans—is to end this cycle once and for all.
- No more terror state in Gaza.
- No more Hamas control of Gaza.
- And no more fantasy that Gazans deserve special protection from the consequences of their actions.
The only way forward is for Israel to take complete control of Gaza, remove the terrorist infrastructure, and ensure that the remaining population can never threaten Israel again.
If that means Gazans must leave? So be it. That is not “ethnic cleansing.” That is Israel defending itself against an enemy population that has proven—again and again—that it will never stop trying to kill us.
Hen Mazzig’s piece in the JTA ignores history, ignores reality, and ignores morality. It asks Jews—who have suffered for generations—to now protect those who seek our destruction.
This is not a call for justice. It is a call for suicide.
Thank God we now have a US president who finally understands that rewarding our enemies is a mistake.
The progressive ideology behind the policies of Biden, Obama, and Clinton funded and protected the same terrorist networks that attacked us on October 7th.
Trump is cutting off their lifeline. He is supporting Israel in doing what needs to be done to end this evil we are up against.
This is true morality. Not virtue-signaling about “displaced Gazans.” Not equating Jewish victims with genocidal jihadists.
The time for illusions is over. Israel must do what is necessary to survive. No more fake morality. No more appeasement. No more terror.
