Terror Victim’s Story
This is the story of Meir Pavlovsky, a young man who immigrated to Israel from Ukraine. Meir was stabbed in the back multiple times by the terrorist. He thought he was going to die, he felt that he had lost so much blood that this was the end. Meir also said he started to think about things he hadn’t done before he died. All the things he might have wanted to do. He even started saying Shema Yisrael, Hear Israel, which meany recite before death.
The medics arrived on the scene and treated Meir, he was then rushed to the hospital to receive surgery and further treatments. However, Meir was given a 10% survival rate. Yet, through some miracle, he walked out of the hospital a week later. The Doctor’s were in absolute shock.
Within two weeks of the attack, Pavlovsky proposed, at the spot where the attack took place. How incredible? Additionally, getting married and building new homes and continuing to live our lives and grow stronger is what the Jewish People need to do. With God’s help, we will beat the terrorists, for we need to show them that they can not win. This land belongs to the Jewish People and we are here to stay. We will continue to grow and be stronger, they can not break us.
Finally, each terror victim’s story is different and unique. Personally, I feel that terror attacks happen too often in Israel. It is hard to remember that there is a person behind each story. Each person has a family somewhere in the world praying for them. Here, we pray for a speedy recovery to all those injured in terror attacks and pray there be no more.
