President Trump knows good and well that Qatar is up to very problematic funding across Universities in North America. But President Trump also knows that he needs the oil-rich countries to sign mega contracts with United States companies as part of his plan to reignite the US economy via massive world-wide tariffs and a few massive deals.
But once the economy is off and buzzing the way he would like it to be, President Trump will need to turn the tables on Qatar and change their ability to massively impact on the values being taught on universities across the USA. It will take a lot of courage, but it is simple common sense. If American youth are educated according to the progressive values that Qatar supports, all of the accomplishments of the Trump administration will end up fading away in the future decades. Trump knows this. Expect 2027 and 2028 to be the years when President Trump tries to upend the Qatari influence. Until then, Israel needs to grit its teeth and deal with the fallout.
