The forgotten Holocaust in North Africa

Although the Holocaust in Europe happened on a greater scale and is more well known, there was also a Holocaust in North Africa.

The Holocaust in North Africa

It is so frightening to think of how far the rules of Nazi-occupied Europe reached. The horrendous antisemitism did not stop at Europe’s borders. Those living in North Africa were subjected to some of the worst discrimination laws. There was a Holocaust in North Africa as well, not just in Europe. The Jews in that region were persecuted. Thousands and thousands were sent to concentration camps, some in North Africa and some in Europe.

It seems that many do not know about these Jews from North Africa. Many do not know the suffering they experienced or how they were treated in the 1930s. We must never forget any tragedy. We must never forget the antisemitism that Jews have been subjected to; the horrors that they have endured.

Has the World Learned?

And here we are in 2021. There are still those trying to bring down the Jewish people. There are still antisemitic attacks throughout the world – even in America. Although many claim they are just against the state of Israel and not against the Jewish people, it is a scam to trick the world. This anti-Zionism is just antisemitism in the 21st century. It is a way to get people to think they are not being antisemitic when they are being nothing but antisemitic.

The Holocaust of Europe and of North Africa both happened only around 80 years ago. It is not ancient history. There are still survivors. How dare people forget so quickly. How dare people continue their antisemitic ways against the Jewish people.
