For the last few decades, there has been a battle without many guns and with relatively limited violence. But it is100% a battle that one day may turn violent, very violent. It may very well be the next place that the State of Israel has a rude awakening. It is the battle over the lands of Judea and Samaria.
Despite pronouncements from the Israeli Army that would seem to indicate that they are “on top” of the situation in Judea and Samaria, there are actually signs that the creeping Arab grab of lands, without any legal basis, is succeeding in making it more and more dangerous on the roads.
But there are brave Jews, generally very young, teenagers, who have decided to launch a protest movement. But not a typical protest movement with placards. It is a protest movement with sheep, a tractor or two, and an enormous amount of guts. They choose to live in the outskirts of existing small or large Jewish towns. Sometimes, they even choose to live far from anyone else. Their main goal is to protect the land from the creeping war, and they are succeeding.
But this battle is part of the major battle against the Israeli Judicial system that is completely slanted against Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria. Israeli courts, in their hypocrisy, have consistently stood in the way of any form of enforecment of law against Arab squatting on land. On the other hand, any young Jew who does the same exact thing as an Arab squatter is harassed, punished and degraded by the Judicial system.
Following the horrible wake-up call that the entire State of Israel and world has just received via the massacre that took place in one day on the Simchat Torah holiday, a fundamental shift must be made as regards the attitude to the land-grab going on by Arabs in Judea and Samaria. Israel must declare war on this once and for all via completion of major parts of the judicial reform plan. Then, Israel must institute and carry out laws against Arab squatting that presents a clear and present danger to Jewish communities.
Until then, Israeli town must toughen up and beef up their first-response units because there will be more attempts to penetrate Israeli towns. The front-line of Israel’s battle against Arabs in the Heartland of Israel are the communities of Judea and Samaria.
