Donald Trump has never been known for being subtle. Neither is he subtle in this election ad promoting himself. But he does say one thing which is true which ought to scare anybody in Israel – “the other side doesn’t like you.” That is a crude way of saying what should be clear to nearly everyone today. Kamala Harris may be married to a Jew, but her values have nothing to do with supporting the State of Israel. Any politician today who is willing to nod their head when Israel is being accused of genocide today is a politician who doesn’t give a hoot about Israel. Trump and all of his supporters in Israel know this. Kamala Harris has nearly no background in understanding the realities of the Middle East, and therefore she is not an Israel supporter.
No Presidential election like this one has seen two candidates with more opposing viewpoints on foreign policy. Their views are even further away from each other than Nixon and McGovern. Donald Trump is the candidate that has all of the dictators scared out of their wits over a potential victory. Kamala Harris has nearly every dictator hoping to have a repeat of the previous four years of an ineffective Executive Branch that allows nearly all of the bad actors to take a stab at doing whatever they can to grab territory and influence in the world.
China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are all hoping for Kamala Harris to win and keep Donald Trump out of power. So too, the other bad actors in the world with less power, such as Qatar, Venezuela, Syria, and Egypt are also hoping for Kamala to allow them more latitude to build up their power structures and advance their immoral aims.
Israel is a country where Donald Trump is wildly popular. Part of the reason is that he successfully moved the American Embassy to Jerusalem as opposed to paying the move lip service like so many other Presidents beforehand. Secondly, the Abraham Accords were viewed in Israel as an enormous achievement. They were. They showed the world that Israel can make major strides towards peace with some of it’s Arab neighbors while simultaneouslybattling the threats from Iran and its proxies on its doorstep. This was not just a great accomplishment of Netanyahu. It was a major step forward by the Trump administration.
Donald Trump deserves the vote of every pro-Israel citizen of the State of Israel based on his record. Will he perform in a 2nd term as well as in his 1st term? That remains to be seen.
