Of the lies that are espoused by Israel-haters across the world, one of the most common refrains is that of Israel being an “apartheid state.” The implication is that Arabs don’t have equal rights as Jewish people and are treated like black people were treated in South Africa. Of course, this is intended to win world sympathy for the plight of “poor refugees” that are seemingly suffering due to their race and religion. The goal is to gain as much sympathy for Arabs and resentment towards the Jewish people in Israel. Many are buying into the lie.
Well, here are some facts and questions concerning that line of thinking. If Israel was truly an apartheid state, how could it be that Arabs serve in Israel’s Army? How could it be that Arabs serve in Israel’s Knesset, Supreme Court, Police, and in every single hospital in the most senior positions? How could it be that Arab soldiers and policemen and policewomen are among those who arrest Jewish people in the State of Israel?
Could it be that everything that is claimed against Israel is actually just a vicious lie in order to paint Israel’s image in a negative light? This young Arab man and millions in Israel know the truth. Human rights activists that follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Carter are hypocrites. Carter sepent decades criticizing Israel’s human rights record, but basically ignored every other human rights issue, including the human rights of Israeli victims of Arab terror. If someone selectively focuses on the human rights of one group to the total exclusion of every other group, then they are driven by hatred, not by human rights.
Arabs in Israel have better health care than anywhere else in the Middle East. Arabs in Israel have voting rights better than anywhere in the Middle East. And in general, the best country for an Arab to live in in the Middle East is Israel.
