Honest Reporting has broken a story that has major news outlets shaking. It turns out that photojournalists embedded in Gaza were tipped off about the Oct. 7th invasion and massacre by Hamas in Israel and came along to join and take pictures.
If that is not morally abhorrent enough, they also never alerted Israeli authorities that an invasion and pogrom were underway.
Honest Reporting identifies four photojournalists in the AP credits that were there: Hassan Eslaiah, Yousef Masoud, Ali Mahmud, and Hatem Ali. Honest Reporting points out in their article one of the photo journalists Hassan Eslaiah has a direct connection to Hamas’ leader Yahya Sinwar.
While its not clear how much information about the pogrom was passed to CNN, Reuters, and the AP before the event, what is clear is that these organization are benefitting from employing terrorists as photo journalists.
Israel is not taking this lightly. Israeli parliament member Danny Danon has been quoted as saying: the “photojournalists who took part in recording the Hamas assault will be added to the Shin Bet elimination list which includes all those who participated in the October 7th massacre.”
Masoud also “happened: to be there. He works for the The New York Times. Massoud’s timing was incredible as he set foot in Israeli territory and take more tank pictures.
The others, Ali Mahmud and Hatem Ali were well positioned to take pictures of the kidnappings of Israelis into Gaza.
Ali Mahmud was responsible for capturing the pickup truck carrying the body of German-Israeli Shani Louk.
Besides the clear evil of these “photojournalist’s” actions, why would Hamas bring them along?
The answer is clear – Sinwar has been hoping that by eliciting a visceral reaction from Israel forcing them to invade getting the IDF bogged down in an impossible urban war to win. Along with that, the high “civilian” death toll on the Gaza side would force the international community to come to Gaza’s aid and tie Israel’s hands.
