People of different ages, religions, and backgrounds have joined together for this international dance challenge. The mayor joined too!
“Jerusalema” dance challenge
This dance challenge has gone global. People from all over the world have joined in.
But what better place to do the challenge than Jerusalem? The song talks about Jerusalem as a “place of unity and home for all.” Watching people from different backgrounds come together in song and dance truly exhibits what the song is talking about.
Arabs, Jews; young and old; even Holocaust survivors joined. And the mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion, also made an appearance.
Jerusalem is a Place for All People
In case people did not realize, Jerusalem is a melting pot – and not only for different types of Jews. Jerusalem (and Israel) welcomes people of all religions and faiths.
In Isaiah 56:7, G-d says, “I will bring them to My holy mount, and I will cause them to rejoice in My house of prayer, their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be acceptable upon My altar, for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples (Translation Chabad.org). For all peoples, not just for the Jewish people. Does the world not realize that the nation of Israel is accepting? If the “Palestinian” people took control over Jerusalem, they would not allow anyone besides Muslims to worship G-d.
The eternal capital of the Jewish people is waiting for the day when the ultimate redemption is here, and people can celebrate G-d’s glory together.
