As the dust continues to clear on Israel’s impressive operation to rid the world of one of its most corrupt and evil terrorists, the world is beginning to see that Israel is serious when it says that it plans to eradicate the Hamas movement – from the top down.
The Hamas movement is not a new phenomenon in Israel. The Arabs throughout Israel, both in the disputed parts of Israel, Judea and Samaria, and in Israel proper, by and large, support the Hamas movement. The difference between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas is actually very minor. They are in total agreement about the State of Israel – they think it should be destroyed. They only differ on how it should be destroyed. Hamas is honest. The Palestinian Authority lies in Hebrew and is honest in Arabic.
Ultimately, Israel does not merely have a fifth column in its midst. It has a population of between 1.5-2.5 million Arabs that are predominantly traitors. The majority do not except Israeli sovereignty and support all efforts to remove Israel from the Land of Israel. The very silent minority are extremely important, but lack power.
There is unfortunately no short term prognosis for anything but more violence and war. But, the general direction of Israel is indeed very optimistic. Israel is dealing with their core problems head-on for the first time in many decades.
It took a terrible tragedy on Oct. 7th to wake up the country. But, at least the pipe-dreams of peaceful coexistence have been completely thrown into the garbage can of history. Israel is a country that has woken up and is in the midst of quickly maturing and becoming what it always was supposed to become – a light unto the nations.
