There is a difference between the Israeli soldiers in the most recent wars that Israel has fought and the soldiers in previous wars. In the recent war, it has become crystal clear, more than in any other time that Israel is in a battle between truth and lies, good and evil. And the world seems to be split between those who have sided with Israel or against it.
The most important facet of a soldier’s motivation to fight and be willing to put themselves in harm’s way is their realization that they are part of a greater whole and that they are doing the right thing. That is exactly the situation that the vast majority of young Israelis find themselves in.
This talented soldier took all of his energy and let it all out on this powerful song that does such an excellent job at expressing the deepest emotions that drive him and his comrades to be as selfless as they have been. It is these brave and blessed young Israeli soldiers that are the human expression of G-d’s benevolence and choosing of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel to succeed and move closer towards the ultimate rebuilding of the 3rd Temple.
