A few days ago, on the Jewish New Year holiday of Rosh Hashana, Avrumy Markowitz went up to the Temple Mount and noticed “SS” carved into a wall located on the North-West corner of the Temple Mount.

SS refers to the elite Nazi unit called the Schutzstaffel in Nazi Germany. Anyone carving “SS”, referring to the Nazis, on the Jewish Temple Mount is expressing a desire to kill all the Jews.

Avrumy showed the carving to one of the Israeli policemen on the Temple Mount who told him that he would pass it on.

Avrumy returned to the Temple Mount today, a few days later, and he saw that the “SS” carving is still there. While he was not able to take any pictures when he went up on the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashana, today, Avrumy took the attached pictures so that we would be able to bring exposure to this very disturbing occurence.

While some people might just say “it’s just a stupid carving. Ignore it”. Unfortunately, this is a very important and symbolic carving that can not be ignored. It exposes the very real and deep motivation of many Muslims in Israel, Judea, Samaria and Gaza today, which they act upon constantly. Just yesterday multiple terrorist shootings and rock attacks took place across Judea & Samaria, including the shooting attack.

Unfortunately, too many leaders, Israeli, Jewish and global leaders, all ignore the true motivation of our Arab Muslim enemies.

The defiling of our Holy place, the Temple Mount, with this symbolic carving, can not go unpunished.

First of all, the carving must be erased. After that, the Arab Muslims who visit the Temple Mount must be punished as well with restrictions on their visits to our holiest site.

We firmly believe that while freedom of worship must be allowed for all, Jews, Christians and Muslims, we must take a zero tolerance approach to all infractions by the Arab Muslim visitors, starting with even the smallest infractions. New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani successfully used this approach in New York City and the Israeli authorities must start using this approach in Israel. In order to prevent shooting attacks on innocent Israeli citizens in Judea & Samaria, then all violence and Jew-hating antisemitic carvings on the Temple Mount must be stopped as well.
