Hostage’s Wife Films Children’s Lives During His Captivity
Lishay Miran is a remarkable woman. The fact that she had the mindset and strength to be able to record her children for her husband Omri while he was in Hamas captivity is mind-boggling. She clearly held on to a hope that he would return. And she wanted him to see their children and the parts of their lives he missed out on. It’s heartbreaking to think that she had to do that instead of Omri just being home to watch his children grow up. And it’s also uplifting that the Jewish people are so strong and so full of life.
It’s hard to truly grasp how each of these hostages had entire lives they missed out on for so, so long. It’s painful to think about. May the Jewish people please G-d never experience such pain again.
But there is something special in what Lishay Miran did for Omri. It shows that the Jewish people love life. It shows the world what we value. Our enemies? They promote death and hate. And the Jewish people? We promote love, life, and connection. When you watch a video like this one, the differences between us and our enemies like Hamas is so clear! Any good, moral, and sane person should be able to see that. Open your eyes – even just a little.
