Who Does the Land of Israel Belong to?
The world loves to claim that the land of Israel belongs to someone else besides the Jewish people. They want the Jewish nation to give up the land or to divide it. But G-d gave us the land. The proof is not only in the Bible, but it is in the land itself. Look at the archaeology. It is clear who has lived here for thousands of years. The so-called “Palestinian” Arabs have no archaeology here at all.
But there is also the proof of looking at history and the Biblical prophecies that have come true before our very eyes. The land was barren. Read what Mark Twain wrote in Innocents Abroad after visiting the Jewish homeland in 1867. It was a desolate land. That is, until the Jewish people began to return. And G-d allowed for them to make the desert bloom. The land responded to the Jewish people working it. It’s truly unbelievable.
The path to redemption has not been easy. And we are still not at the final point. But there is no question we are on the way. It is so clear from modern history that G-d has performed open miracles for the Jewish people in the land of Israel. You cannot deny it. And something like the Jewish people draining the swamps to build up the land was miraculous and a crucial part of our journey to redemption.
