Wow. Israel’s leaders have the ability to devise complex, genius plans when it comes to protecting the Jewish state. This operation was not simple. And the fact that it was successful is miraculous. G-d helped Israel in this mission to get its missile boats.
Learning about Israeli operations after the fact – after you can breathe that an operation was successful – is mind-blowing. It’s exciting. It keeps you on your toes. If it wasn’t part of history and proven to be true, you would think it was straight from a movie. In fact, some of Israel’s missions have indeed been made into movies.
But is that not the story of the Jewish nation throughout the centuries? Jewish history is filled with surprises. It is filled with moments that you thought the Jewish people would not make it through, but they did. Throughout the times, the tables turned – sometimes in the blink of an eye. As it says in Pesikta Zutreta, Book of Esther 4:17, “Yeshuat Hashem k’heref ayin” – The salvation of G-d is like the blink of an eye. Good things can come before you know it. G-d controls everything, and He can make anything happen. Salvation can and may be just a blink away.
