Early Sunday morning Israel carried out a preemptive strike just before Hezbollah was about to shoot thousands of missiles into the Tel Aviv area. The IAF hit over 200 targets across Southern Lebanon successfully preventing what could have been a devastating attack.
Hezbollah was still able to launch hundreds of rockets into Northern Israel, but only managed to hit a road and a chicken coop and open areas. Unfortunately, debris from an intercept landed on s sailor and killed him.
“The IDF intercepted all the drones that Hezbollah launched at strategic targets in the center of the country,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said. “Nasrallah in Beirut and [Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei in Tehran should know that this is another step on the path to changing the situation in the north and returning our residents safely to their homes.”
“The IDF destroyed thousands of short-range rockets, that were all meant to hit our citizens and forces in the Galilee. In addition, the IDF intercepted all of the UAVs that Hezbollah launched at a strategic target in central Israel.”
Nasrallah responded by claiming his attack was a success since they were able to hit Haifa. Video evidence clearly shows that no projectile successfully landed in Haifa.
