WhatsappSome are calling it a James Bond-type operation. Some are calling it a game-changer in Israel’s ongoing battle against Hizbollah, Iran’s proxy on Israel’s northern border. One thing is clear. Israel pulled off an amazing pin-point operation to neutralize the vast majority of the leadership of the Hizbollah.
Was Israel justified? Only those who are unaware of the magnitude of the threat that Israels faces from the north in Lebanon could ask the question. Hizbollah literally has 150,000 missiles threatening Israel. Even if they were all short-distance limited missiles, this would be frightening. But they are a whole mix of short-distance, medium distance, and long-range missiles that can basically reach nearly 80% of Israel’s population.
For the last 10+ months, Hizbollah has been bombing Israe’s north mercilessly and Israel has responded. But a sustained ground war has not taken place. That is all about to change.
