At 2:30 am an Iranian missile barrage aimed at Israel’s center, resulted in one of ballistic missiles making a direct hit on an apartment building in Bat Yam. The hit resulted in the murder of six Israelis, two of which were an 8-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy. 200 people were injured in the attack. Other places were hit as well, including the Weitzman institute in Rehovot.

Unlike the the missile barrages Iran fired months ago, this time around the Iranian attacks on Israel are hyper focused on specific locations and timed to enter Israel’s airspace when the air defense systems are busy dealing with Iranian drones. According to the IDF, Last night’s attacks on Israel utilized a total of 70 ballistic missiles and many dozens of drones. The missiles were fired in three waves at 11 p.m., 2 a.m., and 2:55 a.m., coinciding with the dozens of drones.

The Israeli Air Force conducted overnight strikes on Iranian ballistic missile launchers, air defense systems, and radars, the IDF reported, releasing footage of the attacks. The IDF stated that some of the targeted launchers had previously fired ballistic missiles at Israel. The military vowed to continue targeting Iran’s ballistic missile launchers in western Iran to prevent attacks on Israel. The strikes on air defenses and radars were aimed at maintaining IDF aerial superiority in Iranian airspace.

The IDF also reported striking approximately 80 targets in Tehran, including fuel depots, the Iranian Defense Ministry headquarters, the SPND nuclear project headquarters, and other sites linked to Iran’s nuclear program. Additionally, IAF fighter jets targeted gas infrastructure near Bandar Abbas, which the IDF claims supports Iran’s military and nuclear activities. Since early Friday, the IDF has conducted 170 strikes, hitting 720 separate targets in Iran.

Israel’s air superiority over Western Iran now gives it an unrestricted ability to hit Tehran at will. The Mossad on the ground has continued to take out high profile Iranian regime leaders and scientists through targeted assassinations. Many of these assassinations are done through attacks from within Iran.

In the coming days, Iran’s waves of ballistic missiles will continue, yet each wave of IAF attacks also hits ballistic missile launchers. Without launchers, Iran cannot send missiles at Israel. Israel’s increased control of Iran’s airspace, especially around Tehran means it can attempt what no one thought possible - regime change.
