Iran and Russia have continued to grow closer in that last few months – worrying observers and experts that any major conflict involving Iran will draw Russia in.
Russia is already positioned in Syria, having an outsized presence in that country. Russia also supplied Syria with the S-400 anti-aircraft system.
To cement their partnership, Russia and Iran are conducting a joint drill.
Putin has increasingly grown antagonistic to Israel, worrying many that as the war in Ukraine expands – so does his lust for power.
