WhatsappThe Egoz commando unit is continuing its operations in Khan Yunis’ Hamad Town residential complex in southern Gaza where troops have killed a number of Hamas fighters in recent days.
Reports from the IDF say that the Egoz commandos have captured several more Hamas operatives who surrendered to troops.
In one engagement the Egoz soldiers came under fire while during their search of a building. The troops, used a drone to locate the gunman and returned fire.
The commandos also launched a shoulder-fired missile at an apartment in the residential complex where the gunman was hiding. The blast killed him, while a mother and two children were in an adjacent room.
Two more gunmen were killed and another was captured in the incident.
The mother and two children were later rescued from the building, and treated by army medics.
