Bibi and Itamar Ben-Gvir Win Big

With the count almost done, it is clear Israelis have chosen to repudiate the current coalition and give Bibi Netanyahu and the rightwing a clear victory.

Netanyahu’s Likud is far in the lead with 32. The Religious Zionism party is at 14. The Sefardi Shas party is at 11 and the Ashkenazi Chareidi party is at 8, giving the right a comfortable and stable coalition. This coalition will be the first time Israel will have a fully rightwing and nationalist coalition where a majority of members will be religious.

Bibi will have to decide on what ministries each member receives – especially rising star and former Kachnick, Itamar Ben-Gvir. The US has already warned Israel that they may boycott him if he becomes a minister – a first. Ben-Gvir has risen from the fringes to the mainstream of the rightwing. A powerful orator and ideologue his pursuit of the Internal Security Ministry will put him in control of the police as well as the Temple Mount.

Israel is going through a serious paradigm shift. This is the real reason why the left and America are scared, because Israel is freeing itself of its former self – shifting to something bigger and more independent – a true Jewish State may finally be in the offing.
