The “Nakba” is the term that Arabs in the Land of Israel use to describe the disaster that befell them back in 1948-1949. Thtat is absolutely true. It was a disaster for the Arabs that they failed to accomplish their goal – the complete and total destruction of the State of Israel. That was the turning point for all of Jewish History that has led to the enabling of the ingathering of the exiles, the physical and spiritual development of the Jewish Nation in unpredendented fashion, and the beginning of the coming of the Redemption of the Jewish people.

When the six Arab armies attacked the nascent State of Israel, even before the declaration of the State of Israel, no objective outside observer would have thought that the Jewish State had a chance to push back the onslaught. Israel was outmanned, outgunned, and inexperienced in battle.

But miracle after miracle, on nearly every front, Israel withstood the Arab attacks. Arabs left their homes in order to enable attacks on the Jewish State. That is an incontrovertible fact. They lost their homes as part of their attempts to kill the Jewish State. Once again – they lost.

But their aspiration has not gone. They still aspire to kill, to conquer and occupy the Jewish homeland. Nothing has really changed since then.
