The goal in the Middle East should not be lasting peace. It should be lasting calm where the peace-loving countires dominate the totalitarian-oriented countries. That is a lofty goal. It has been partially achieved via the Abraham Accords and Israel’s successful attack on Iran. From there, it can build to a more lasting state of calm. But, the “peace” that radical Islam is looking for does not include a Jewish presence anywhere in the Middle East except the Mediterranean. So, let’s change the goal and the language from one of striving towards peace to one of let’s strive to have an understanding that is based on the success of the Abraham Accords.
