Watch: The UN Supports This Disturbing Crime

It is a well documented fact that there were and are widespread celebrations across many Arab neighborhoods in Israel whenever a terror attack “succeeds” in killing Jews. That fact alone is sickening and should trouble anybody who cares about the Jewish people. But the real question is, “Are the celebrants a fringe of Arab society or not?”

If the number of people who are celebrating are just a small fringe, then it really is not so important to focus on. But nearly everything indicates the exact reverse. Not only are the ones who celebrate “successful terror” not a small fringe. They actually reflect a massive movement that is probably a majority in Gaza and most Arab cities in Judea and Samaria. Every funeral of an Arab terrorist draws crowds in the thousands or tens of thousands.

Whenever there are elections in the Palestinian Authority, the results nearly always show that the radicalization of the young Arabs continues to grow from generation to generation. Antisemitism is not just alive and well among so many Arabs in these areas – it is a given from the day they are born.

But Israel must continue to do all that it can to prop up the more moderate elements – and they do exist. In addition, there is a large minority of Arabs who are pro-Israel and know that the Palestinian Authority is merely a kleptocracy working to aggrandize their power structure in order to kill more Jews.

The key to making a fundamental change is to make inroads into the educational system of Arab youth. The textbooks and other basic building blocks of Arab society must be dealt with if Israel will have anyone to deal with in future generations. As things stand now, there is no hope for the next generation of Arab youth. They have a visceral hate of Israel.

But when the big change happens, via textbooks, tik-tok, and whatever other means accomplish the goal of moderating the Arab youth in Israel’s midst, then there will be a chance for Israel to have a more peaceful life with it’s Arab citizenry. It will take decades.
