Whatsapp“From the River to the Sea!” One of the most commonly screamed protests among anti-Israel protesters is this common refrain. It is not mere hyperbole. It is exactly what the protesters mean. They want to destroy the entire State of Israel – from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.
What separates so many people on Israel’s left from people on Israel’s right is the respect that they have for what the Arabs say. Israel’s left has become weaker and weaker as the whole concept of a peaceful reality with Israel’s Arab neighbors has proven to be a pipe dream. On the other hand, Israel’s right wing has propounded a down-to-earth policy that is based on believing the Arab protesters.
It is not a fringe of Arab protesters who scream “From the River to the Sea!” They represent the vast majority of anti-Israel protesters – both from the grassroots and leadership level. Rashida Tlaib is their #1 leader in the United States of America. It is a simple truth that Israel does not have any partner for peace. They have to stand firm and bring their enemies to their knees if they want to have peace. Anything else is simply detached from reality.
So the believers will ask, “Will there never be a peaceful situation between Israel and the Arabs?” “What about the United Arab Emirates?” The answer is quite simple. In this generation, nothing much will change as the textbooks all educate towards hatred of Israel and the Jewish State. When the textbooks change, Israel will have a chance. But until then, the key is to fight online hatred and online lies with everything we have, and especially in Arabic.
