On Friday President Trump told the world that Iran told him it would never again close the Strait of Hormuz as a weapon. He spoke about free passage, forever. He spoke about Iran committing to him that it would giveup 100% of its enriched uranium, “every dust of it”.
Not even 24 hours passed.
And the Islamic Republic of Iran did exactly the opposite.
They moved IRCG naval forces into the Strait of Hormuz to stop all the ship movements.
They shut it down, again.
They declared their uranium “sacred” and refused to transfer even a gram.
They rejected further negotiations with the U.S.
They doubled down on everything.
So what does that mean?
It means one thing:
It was all a bluff.
But not just Iran’s bluff.
President Trump knows exactly the game he is playing.
Don’t ever take his public statements literally.
He operates his “art of the deal” using pressure, perception, leverage. He says things not just to describe the reality he hopes for, but to shape it, to test reactions, to set traps if it doesn’t happen.
That doesn’t mean everything will always go our way.
But it does mean this:
We should not lose our minds every time he says something publicly that doesn’t make sense to us or that we don’t like.
Because what you see publicly is not the whole game.
THE REALITY BEHIND THE HEADLINES
Now let’s look at what actually happened over the last 24 hours:
The Islamic Republic of Iran officially:
* Refused to transfer enriched uranium, calling it “sacred”
* Denied any agreement with the United States
* Rejected stopping uranium enrichment
* Continued full support for its terror proxies
* Refused to continue negotiations with the U.S.
At the same time, Hezbollah leadership openly threatened the Lebanese government itself, making it clear they are not going anywhere and will not be disarmed.
And on the ground?
Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and forced ships to turn back.
So while headlines from President Trump spoke of diplomacy and progress…
Reality exposed something very different:
Total defiance. Total exposure.
NOW CONNECT THE DOTS
As I told you before Shabbat, and I repeat it now:
Yes, the ceasefire with Lebanon looks bad. Yes, it looks weak. Yes, it feels wrong. Because Lebanon is a failed state. The government and army are infiltrated by Hezbollah. It can’t disarm Hezbollah even if it tried, which it won’t.
But understand something deeper.
It is part of a much bigger strategy.
The war is not over.
THE MOVE THAT EXPOSED IRAN
Israel’s agreement to a “ceasefire” in Lebanon was not surrender.
Decision-makers in Israel understood that Iran was hiding behind Lebanon, blaming Israel’s military pressure there as the excuse for not moving forward diplomatically.
So Israel flipped the board.
We agreed.
“Fine,” we said. “No problem.” We will agree to Trump’s worthless ceasefire with Lebanon.
We even allowed it to look like it was forced on us.
And in that moment, the Iranian bluff collapsed.
No more excuses. No more cover. No more narrative control.
Iran exposed itself to the world, again:
Refusing negotiations. Escalating threats. Doubling down on its nuclear ambitions. Standing fully behind its terror proxies.
And once again, the propagandists fell right into the trap.
THIS IS A CHESS GAME — NOT A SOUND BITE WAR
Yes, Trump sincerely wants to end the war, and intends for his public statements to come to fruition.
But…
This is not about tweets. This is not about headlines. This is about strategy.
High-level, long-term, coordinated strategy.
And the Trump-Netanyahu duo are playing this check game unbelievably, even if I don’t think they are doing enough.
WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING ON THE GROUND
While the world is distracted by “ceasefire” headlines…
Israel is reshaping reality.
The IDF has now clarified—clearly coordinated with the Americans:
A “yellow line” security buffer zone has been established along the entire Lebanese border.
As long as Hezbollah is not disarmed Israel remains there. Permanently.
55 enemy Shiite Hezbollah villages within that zone are being cleared and destroyed.
The IDF continues active operations with thin this zone removing Hezbollah infrastructure piece by piece.
There is no ceasefire where it matters. Terrorists in these areas will be eliminated by IDF forces or forced to surrender.
And on top of all of that…
Israel has now taken control of the Lebanese side of Mount Hermon, as part of establishing this expanded security zone. We liberated the Syrian side and now the Lebanese side, placing the whole strategic Hermon mountain now in Israeli control to protect us from both the Sunni jihadis in Syria and the Shiite jihadists in Lebanon. This is a huge development.
BOTTOM LINE
While the war is not over, and may not end with every jihadist threat eliminated or jihadi population removed from God’s holy land, the way it should be…
We can’t ignore the big picture. We are already witnessing something historic:
Israel is no longer just defending itself.
Israel is shaping a new strategic reality to protect Israel and weaken the jihadi powers out to terrorize the whole world.
That is the real story.
Not the headlines. Not the tweets. Not the noise.
Stay grounded. Stay focused. Understand the bigger picture.
As I always say, place your full trust only in God.
Speak the truth of what should be done against a jihadi population, with parents that educate their children to kill Jews and destroy Israel, that shouldn’t be allowed to live within our borders.
Share the truth.
And act with faith in God.
Leaders like Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu will at times align with what we hope for and at times fall short, but this war is, at its core, a spiritual battle. God is waiting for us to wake up, to move forward with faith, and to partner with Him in bringing redemption.
As the Jewish people just began the month of Iyar, the month of redemption, let’s do what we have to do, not just complain when we don’t like the headlines. We got this, together, with God.
Am Yisrael Chai!!!
