Religious Singer Wows Judges on X Factor
The X Factor is the contest for Israel’s singer to be chosen for the international Eurovision competition. You have to be good – that’s for sure. But you also have to have something different and unique. You want something that makes you stand out. Many people can sing – but the question is what makes someone stand out. And this audition definitely had that wow factor. There was a huge element of surprise here!
Shachar’s voice is unreal. If you were listening to this audition without watching it, you would not expect this young man to be the way he is; to look the way he does. He is not the norm, and he is breaking all stereotypes. Shachar is a religious Jew, teaches Torah, and yet he listens and sings English, non-religious music. He is showing that not all religious Jews go according to classic stereotypes nor do they fit into a box. Everyone is different. He amazed the judges and the audience, and anyone who listens to him will be amazed as well.
Who knows how far Shachar will make it in The X Factor Israel. Who knows if he will make it all the way to the international Eurovision competition. But one thing is for sure: He is talented. His voice and his uniqueness are turning heads and catching people’s attention.
