Abdol Hossein Sardari was a true hero. As an Iranian diplomat, he used his power for the good. He ended up saving thousands of Jews.
The Iranian Diplomat Who Saved Jews
What a remarkable story this is. What a remarkable man! Abdol Hossein Sardari chose to save Jews despite the risk that entailed. The power he had as an Iranian diplomat could have been used for the bad. He could have done terrible things with his position.
But he didn’t. Abdol Hossein Sardari outsmarted the Nazis. He tricked them. And he saved thousands of Jews by doing so.
Everyone who saved Jews during the Holocaust is a hero. These people used their different positions to protect Jewish people. And the amount of Jews that they saved is really much greater than whatever was recorded. Because if those Jews went on to build families, then their children were also saved by these heroes. Because those children would never have been born without people like Abdol Hossein Sardari.
We should never need to be in the position to save lives the way Abdol Hossein Sardari and others did. Yet we can all do acts of kindness on our own level. It’s not easy. But you never know how much of an impact you can make. You never know whose life you might be saving in a big or small way just by being unselfish. Everyone gives differently, however, everyone has the ability to give in some way.
What will you do today to be someone’s hero?
