The Bible Revealed Israel’s Secret to Success

Can financial success in the Land of Israel actually be connected to observance of the commandments of the Bible? Well, the Bible says so. But was that only in Biblical times or does it apply today too?

Back in the times of the Bible, when the Jewish people first settled in the Land of Israel, more than 3,000 years ago, the Jewish people observed commandments – some of which specifically pertained to being in the Land of Israel. These same commandments are being observed today, following nearly 2,000 years when it was simply impossible for most Jews to observe them.

But with the return of the Jewish people to their indigenous land around 150 years ago, the “forgotten” commandments began to come back to life. Of course, the Jewish people studied these laws over the centuries. But they were not applicable to observe as of yet, and remained in the realm of theoretical practice.

Today, all throughout the Land of Israel, farmers, homeowners, and anyone with a small plot of dirt to plant a tree or grow some vegetables can observe the very same commandments that the Biblical characters observed in the Land of Israel.

One of these is the Sabbath of the Land. It is the commandment to let the Holy Land rest for an entire year once every seven years. This would seem to be a counterproductive policy for success in growing fruits and crops. But the very reverse is promised in the Bible. Those who let the Holy Land rest in the seventh year will see a bumper crop in the sixth year that will supply ample produce for the sixth, seventh, and eighth years. Today, this blessing is seen across the entire Land of Israel.

Yet another example of the miracle of today’s State of Israel – the rebirth of the blessings contained within the Land of Israel.
