Glenn Beck is exaggerating the situation that the Jewish people find themselves in today. But as in most cases, he is ahead of his time and he clearly sees where things are going – before nearly everybody else. The massive upsurge in antisemitism is not a passing phenomenon that will be dying down soon. It is gathering steam and now becoming quite a large movement on the radical right in addition to the progressive left.
Wow. @glennbeck with a powerful speech today at the @prageru event at Mar-a-Lago.

In general, the Jewish people are targeted when a country experiences a major financial downturn. But the American economy is probably heading in the right direction under the Trump administration. So what has caused the sudden upsurge?
There are many answers, but it seems that there is one overriding factor. The growth of the Arab and Muslim population in the United States of America in the last few decades has fueled most of the outward hatred towards the Jewish people. There are certainly many non-Muslims who are championing Jew-hatred also. But that is not a new phenomenon and it used to be more undercover. Anti-Jewish clergy would not preach openly to hatred of the Jewish people in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s even if they had a strong animus against the Jewish people. But mosques all across cities in America today are filled with anti-Jewish epithets right from the pulpit in broad daylight.
This did not start on October 7th. It has been going on for years as the anti-Israel population has grown in the United States. This phenomenon is mirrored in France, England, Belgium, Sweden and other countries in Europe. The scariest aspect of all of this is that this has taken place while the world economies are relatively stable. If any of these Western countries were to experience a serious economic hardship, the odds are very high that anti-Jewish sentiment will fly out of control with mob riots engulfing Jewish communities.
Jewish people who have chosen to live in the Diaspora have always known that their time there was temporary, even if it lasted hundreds of years. Most of European Jewry has largely reached the conclusion that they have no more than one or one and a half generations left in the countries where they live. Those who are staying put are smartly encouraging their children to plan for a future in the State of Israel. The present and future of the Jewish people is clearly being determined in the Jewish State.
Israel may have it’s share of challenges, but in Israel, the Jewish people are free to determine their own fate and are not relying on the local population to come to their defense.
