A terrorist attack, near the settlement of Bruchin, claimed the life of a pregnant woman and injured her husband. The two were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital, where medical teams were able to deliver the baby, whose condition is described as serious. Tze’ela Gez was nine months pregnant when she was killed last night, by a terrorist who shot at multiple cars between the communities of Bruchin and Peduel. She was on the way to the hospital to deliver her baby.
Following the attack, MK Zvi Sukkot addressed the events and the security situation. According to him, although the current activity in Judea and Samaria is “an event in which they are acting like they have never acted before,” he believes that “it is not enough.” Sukkot called for a change in approach and argued that “in order to act properly here, after all these decades in which we as a state have acted criminally, we need to do what we are doing in Gaza. That is what will solve the problem here.”
Referring to the Arab cities and villages, Sukkot said: “Shchem (Nablus) should look like Rafah. The villages there near Brukin, where the terrorist just came from, which is Adik and Brukin, they should look like Jabaliya. That’s what really needs to be done.”
However, MK Sukkot made it clear that implementing such a policy is not possible immediately, due to the ongoing campaign in the Gaza Strip: “Can we do this tomorrow morning when we are on the eve of a massive entry into Gaza? The answer is no. And that is why we need to bring a complete victory in Gaza, because they committed the greatest massacre ever here. To deploy the entire army on Gaza, bring a real victory there and stop this shuffling.”
Finally, Sukkot addressed future priorities: “And after we bring victory in Gaza, we will also have to bring victory in Judea and Samaria.”
