There is far more than one Biblical burial site in the holy land of Israel. But this one is the oldest. Take a look!
The Oldest Biblical Burial Site
Ma’arat Hamachpela, or the Cave of the Patriarchs, is the oldest Biblical burial site. There are other sites throughout Israel of places where great people were buried. King David is buried at Mount Tzion in Jerusalem, Rachel is buried at the beginning of Bethlehem, and so on. But the Cave of the Patriarchs is the oldest site. Abraham purchased it from Ephron the Hittite. It has been a Jewish burial place for thousands and thousands of years!
There is so much history in Hebron. King David made it his first capital before Jerusalem. The holiness of Hebron is apparent when you just step foot inside. You can feel ancient history surrounding you.
The Lies about Hebron
There are so many lies about Israel that circulate the media, specifically about Hebron. People claim that there is apartheid taking place and that Israel mistreats muslims. But that could not be farther from the truth! Arabs are allowed in the Jewish sections of Hebron, but the sections that are under Muslim control are off limits to Jews. That doesn’t seem like apartheid. Jews only have 3% of their ancient city of Hebron. Muslims have 97%! And Jews are not allowed in that 97%. Apartheid? Yes, but the other way: Muslim apartheid against Jews!
So, stop demonizing Israel. Start sharing the truth. After all, Hebron was an ancient Jewish city before the religion of Islam even existed.
