Official statement by Israeli Police: Contrary to misleading reports, no damage was caused to the Church of Saint George in Taybeh. The fire was limited to an adjacent open area, not the holy site. Emergency services received reports from local residents, including both Israelis and one Palestinian caller. The District Commander has initiated a thorough investigation. If arson is confirmed, justice will be pursued regardless of race or background. Due process is based on facts, not headlines.
Eliana Passentin, Director of the Foreign Desk at the Binyamin Regional Council, visited the church in Taybeh and found: the church was not burned, and the structure is made of stone, not wood. The video disproves the false accusations and presents the facts as they are – no Jew harmed it or set it on fire. The residents of Judea and Samaria are the guardians of the Land of the Bible and the first to ensure that such acts never occur.
There’s a growing sickness in our world—a virus of moral confusion, manipulated by malicious narratives and spread by those who ought to know better. And right now, it’s targeting the Jewish people once again, this time under the disgusting banner of a modern-day blood libel. Tragically, this time it’s not coming from the usual suspects—it’s coming from some on the Christian-conservative-right. Yes, from among our own friends.
In recent days, a lie has been repeated so often it has managed to deceive even those who normally stand strong with Israel. I’m talking about the slanderous claims that Jewish “settlers” torched a church and desecrated a Christian cemetery in the village of Taybeh, near the Rimmonim farm in Binyamin.
But let me be absolutely clear: No church was burned. No cemetery was desecrated. No Jewish nationalist crime was committed. Period.

What actually happened? Journalist Elisha Yered compiled the facts, and they expose the full extent of this campaign of deception:
The Real Story
The residents of Rimmonim Farm have long endured harassment, arson attacks, and violence, particularly from the nearby Christian Arab village of Taybeh. This isn’t conjecture—this is on-the-ground reality.
- On July 3rd, July 7th, July 8th, and July 11th, fires were deliberately set by Arabs from Taybeh in open grazing fields, part of an ongoing effort to prevent Jewish shepherds from using the land.
- On July 7th, the situation escalated. A fire was lit (again) by Taybeh residents. It spread rapidly, threatening not only Jewish grazing lands but also the outskirts of the village itself.
- Jewish residents from the farm—armed with motorized blowers and fire beaters—rushed to fight the fire. They didn’t just protect their land; they risked their own safety to stop the fire from reaching Taybeh’s homes, including a church and an ancient cemetery.
Let that sink in. These Jewish youths could have said, “Let them suffer the consequences of their own arson.” Instead, they chose integrity and humanity. They saved the church. They saved the cemetery.
And how were they repaid?
A Blood Libel Is Born
Images of Jewish youth battling the blaze were weaponized by anti-Israel activists. These brave Israelis were labeled as arsonists and terrorists. Accusations flew across social media, were picked up by international press, and were even echoed by top U.S. officials. Suddenly, the Jews weren’t the victims of arson—they were the perpetrators.
Let me be blunt: this is a classic blood libel. The kind we’ve seen before in Europe—accusations without evidence, fueled by prejudice, resulting in global condemnation and Jewish suffering.
Even more absurdly, no complaint has been filed. Read that again: despite all the uproar, Taybeh hasn’t even gone to the police. If the villagers are so convinced that Jews torched their property, why aren’t they filing charges? Because they know the truth. They started the fire. And they know the police will discover that, if given the chance.
So why the international campaign? Why the condemnations? Because this isn’t about justice. It’s about delegitimizing the Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria, and more disturbingly, it’s about driving a wedge between Evangelical Christians and the people of Israel.
A Wake-Up Call to Christian Conservatives
To my Christian conservative friends: I say this with love and with urgency—stop falling for the lies. Israel is not perfect, but she is good. Her people, especially those living in Judea and Samaria (what the world calls the “settlements”), are not extremists or terrorists. They are pioneers, farmers, mothers, fathers—people who love the land, the Bible, and peace.
You are being targeted. Your support for Israel is under attack—not from the Left this time, but from within your own ranks. The enemy knows that if they can sever the bond between Christian Zionists and the Jewish state, they will have won a major battle. And they’re using false accusations and moral manipulation to do it.
It is not righteous to condemn the innocent. It is not godly to side with liars. And it is certainly not Christian to join in a blood libel against Jews who risked their lives to save others—even those who hate them.
Stand With Truth. Stand With Israel.
We must demand accountability from those spreading this lie. We must insist on facts before finger-pointing. And we must never let the age-old hatred of the Jew—dressed up today in hashtags and headlines—corrupt our judgment or destroy our alliances.
History is watching. The world is watching. Most importantly, God is watching.
And truth—truth—still matters.
Let’s spread this truth before the lie becomes canon. Share it, say it, stand for it.
